Think about it: how would agriculture and gardening look if plants had feelings?

Part of the Think About It series (1/198)

The autumn of a wheat stalk’s life

Would we rip out flowers from the ground just to put them into a vase and listen to them screaming in agony while life slowly drains from them?

Would we have PETP (People for the Ethical Treatment of Plants) fighting for the rights of each apple that is cruelly bitten into?

Would some of us end up taking our rose bush to a plant hotel while travelling on a business trip to avoid paying the extra flight fee for plants?

Would crop harvesting be considered a genocide?

Please note this series is purely meant to be an imagination exercise, not an invitation to scientifically disprove the hypothesis. Although all comments are welcome, those taking the imagination further will be more appreciated.
